The opening event for the 2022 cyclo-cross season will be the GP Kinning Cycles race at Orangefield, Belfast. See technical guide here.

2022-2023 calendar
The host clubs and dates for the 2022-2023 have now been released. We have a new host club, Breffni Wheelers and a return for Team Madigan. See calendar here.
Appeal for CX events for 2022/2023
The calendar of Ulster cyclo-cross (CX) events is overseen by the Cycling Ulster Off-road Commission.
If your club is interested in running a CX event this year could you
a) confirm this with your club committee
b) confirm whether you want your event to be part of the Ulster Cyclo-cross series, or you want to run the Ulster championships, or run as an independent event.
c) get back to me by Sunday 27 February 2022 (close of play).
If your club is not interested, please let me know before that date as well.
NOTE 1: The Ulster Cyclo-cross series would start on the first weekend in October.
NOTE 2: There would be no event on 15/16 October 2022 due to the UCI C2 race (Verge Cross Clonmel Co. Tipperary).
NOTE 3: The Ulster Championships are scheduled to run on 11 December 2022.

National Cyclo-cross Championships 2022
The 2022 Cycling Ireland National Youth Cyclo-cross Championships and the National Junior/Senior/Masters Championships are both being held at Palace Demesne, Armagh. The Youth Championships are on Saturday 8 January 2022 and the Junior/Senior/Masters Championships are being held on the Sunday 9 January. Both events are being hosted by Square Wheels. Muddy fun at the Ulster CX Championships
The 2021 Ulster cyclo-cross championships took place on Sunday 12 December 2021 at CyclocrossNI in Portadown. Race report here.
Registration for the Ulster CX Championships
Registration will open at 8 pm on Friday 3 December 2021 for the Ulster Cyclo-cross Championships which will take place on Sunday 12 December. Registration closes on Friday 10 December at 8 pm. There are no registrations on the day. This event is not open to those without a Cycling Ireland licence. You can take out a 2022 Cycling Ireland licence now which will cover you for this event and until 31 December 2022 (see www.cyclingireland.ie). More details on the Ulster Championships is given here.
