Ulster CX Series – Round 1 2024 – Breffni Wheelers

This is the third year that Breffni Wheelers Cycling Club is going to hold a cyclo-cross race. Thanks again to Cavan County Council for the use of the site.

Course description:
The course will have the start/finish in front of the castle for the youth races. For U14s and over the start shall be 300m on the tarmac ring road,  racing onto the circuit and staying on course thereafter. The different courses for the various age groups will take all take in different lengths of loops on the grass area in front of the castle. From Under 12s up there will be steps to get back to the start/finish. There will be car parking for all with a separate car park for those using the pits.

NOTE: There is no access to the Scouting Ireland Facility or the Castle area
Gravel Paths around the area are for pedestrians
No power washing in the carpark areas

Race Registration:
Opens: Thursday 24 October 2024 at 10:30 am
Closes: Friday 1 November 2024 at 8 pm.

Race number collection:
Location: From registration gazebo on site
Number boards must be collected before practice and racing.
Closing times for collection of number boards is 15 minutes before the start of the race
Number boards must be returned at the end of the race

Gridding:
Gridding will be based on UCI points and points from the Ulster Cyclo-cross Series to date.

Parking onsite. Follow direction from the marshals.

Facilities on site:
Toilets: Portable toilets will be available on site
Showers: There are no showers or changing rooms
Bike wash: Riders are asked to bring their own water for washing bikes. A bike wash area will be available on site close to the pits
