Planning for 2023/2024
The 2022/2023 Ulster cyclo-cross season is over so it is now time to start planning for the 2023/2024 season.
The calendar of Ulster cyclo-cross (CX) events is overseen by the Cycling Ulster Off-road Commission.
If your club would be interested in running a CX event this year could you:
a) confirm this with your club committee
b) confirm whether you want your event to be part of the Ulster Cyclo-cross series or run as an independent event.
c) get back to me by Tuesday 7 February 2023 (close of play) secretary@offroadcyclingulster.com.
NOTE 1: The Ulster Cyclo-cross series would start on the first weekend in October.
NOTE 2: The commission will make a live draw for the allocation of clubs to available dates.
Ride for Raymie
Many thanks to everyone who supported the Ride for Raymie event today. Thanks to all those who bought raffle tickets or donated online. Thanks to East Antrim CC for hosting the event and to James Wilson for providing the site for free! Also thanks to The Belgian Project for their support.
A big thanks to all the riders who participated in the Running Race!! Around 24 carried their bikes to the top of the hill before descending back to the lower level on their bikes, then running with their bikes to the finish. Great fun!! More smiles and laughter than the usual races.

Ride for Raymie
Raymond Beers, a great friend of ours, was involved in a serious accident in early 2022. Thanks to the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance, Raymond was able to travel to the hospital and receive care for his injuries.
In light of this, we would like to show our appreciation for the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance’s efforts on that particular day by hosting a cyclocross race, a sport that Raymond and many of us adore.
There will be a variety of races held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Cyclocross NI, Portadown. From junior to senior races, it will be a fun-filled day for all. We will also be having a host of prizes to give away in our raffle.
Details of the event can be found here
